Milton Keynes dons football May 18, 2007

Milton Keynes finally has a football team. I used to go there in the days they didn’t and still enjoyed it. Tonight they kiss goodbye to the hockey stadium, which was built for hockey, and soon MK Dons and growing band of supporters will be on the edge of the city in a brand new 30,000 stadium which if Pete Wink the chairman has his way will also host many a rock concert. The new Bowl, with cover!
Shrewsbury, the visitors, likewise have a new more modest stadium awaiting them.

Football in England has never or certainly not since after the Second World War been so popular in terms of attendances, money, coverage.
